Putting the operator first
Operators deserve a safe, comfortable, quiet and efficient operating space. Bobcat cabs are designed around their needs. Space, ease of use, operational effectiveness, Bobcat delivers!

Visibility and comfort
Take a seat in a Bobcat skid-steer loader, and you'll notice the excellent all-round visibility and generous head-, waist-, leg- and elbow-room. Drive it and feel how the seat suspension provides a comfortable ride. The cab can be fitted with an optional heater (standard on A300) or air conditioning unit to create a more comfortable working environment. On Bobcat skid-steer loaders, the operator has a choice of three different control patterns to meet their exact preference. Safety comes standard with the Bobcat Interlock Control System (BICS). This system reduces the potential for accidents caused by inadvertent manoeuvres.

Fail-safe system monitoring
This system monitors vital engine and hydraulic system functions (such as coolant temperature, oil pressure and hydraulic oil temperature). If a parameter is out of the normal operating range, both audible and visible warnings are given. If the situation could lead to a critical failure, the machine immediately shuts down.
Deluxe instrumentation
The optional instrumentation enables the operator to closely monitor the machine as well as adding another level of security. The keyless start feature allows the panel to be locked out to prevent unauthorised starting. The panel has multi-language displays, and offers a greater level of monitoring of vital functions, the deluxe instrumentation panel delivers peace of mind.

Selectable Joystick Controls (SJC)
Selectable joystick controls use the latest technology to make the operator more comfortable. Optional on Bobcat skid-steer loaders, these controls allow the operator to change control patterns with the flip of a switch.
This low-effort control option combines fingertip control with the ability to switch between H-pattern and ISO-pattern controls, thereby providing operators with the choice of their favourite control system. The controls utilize a horsepower management system that automatically adjusts the drive system to maximize pushing and digging power. While the hand engine speed control lever allows for the setting of specific speeds, the accelerator pedal can increase speed on demand for extra operating efficiency.
Innovation through design
The heart of a Bobcat loader skid-steer loader is its exclusive transmission. Bobcat loaders use a single belt and different size pulleys to power the hydraulic system. This allows the pump to turn faster than the engine, and provides several benefits. This transmission uses a "bow-tie" chain drive configuration consisting of two continuous loops per side using pre-stressed 120 HSOC drive chains for unmatched strength.
The engine runs quieter and has a longer service life. With spring-loaded idlers to maintain belt tension, maintenance is reduced to a minimum. The final drive uses pre-stressed heavy-duty chains with a 'bow-tie' chain-drive configuration consisting of two continuous loops per side. Unlike other transmissions, this design requires no chain adjustment or axle seal greasing, so apart from loon-hour oil changes, it is virtually maintenance free.

Next step in innovation
The Bobcat skid steer loader's innovative new cooling system features SmartFAN™, a hydraulically-driven variablespeed cooling fan that is more efficient in many respects. It cools better in extreme operating conditions, is quieter, and requires less engine power in most conditions. Driven by a hydraulic motor, the fan turns only when it's needed, and is not dependent on engine speed. Bobcat loaders continue to feature dual-path cooling, which draws cool, clean air from above the loader while pulling hot air from the engine and hydrostatic area.
High Flow
The S160 and S185 are equipped as standard with high flow hydraulics to improve the hydraulic power available
and to enhance attachment capabilities. High flow hydraulics are also available as an option for the S175 and S205 loaders. With this feature, your skid-steer will become your favourite tool for all-year round use in combination with attachments like the planer, wheel saw, Brushcat® rotary cutter, snow blower, wood chipper, stump grinder and trencher. The "High Flow" function is activated by an electrical control switch situated on the left panel inside the cab for extra convenience.
Change attachments while sitting comfortably
The Bob-Tach™ mounting system allows attachments to be changed quickly by the operator while working on-site. With the optional Power Bob-Tach™, the operator can change non-hydraulic attachments without even leaving the cab. Activated by a switch in the centre panel, the Power Bob- Tach™ levers can be opened and closed hydraulically, increasing the versatility and productivity of all Bobcat skid-steer loaders.
Two machines in one!
With the Bobcat all-wheel-steer loader A300, you can choose at the flip of a switch between two different steering modes to suit the job: skid-steer mode to manoeuvre in tight spaces and turn within the length of the loader or allwheel steer mode to reduce ground disturbance and tyre wear thanks to the 4 steerable axles. With the Bobcat A300, you have in one machine the features and benefits of two different types of steering.

How does it work?
All-wheel steer mode

- Controlled by a single low-effort joystick.
- The inside tyres turn at a different angle and speed than the outside tyres.
- Both the right and left sides work together to minimise disturbance and damage to the turf as well as tyre wear.
Skid-steer mode
Also controlled by a single joystick. The wheels on the left side turn independently of the wheels on the right side, allowing the loader to counter-rotate for maximum manoeuvrability.
Steerable axles
Unique in design, the A300 combines in one machine the smooth efficiency of an all-wheel steer loader and the agility of a skid-steer loader.
The illustrations below show the position of the steerable axles in all-wheel steer and skid-steer mode.
(1) All-wheel steer mode Axle shown at maximum turn angle of all-wheel steer mode.
(2) Skid-steer mode Axles remain straight for skid-steer mode operation. Steerable axle ends have permanently lubricated U-joints for minimum maintenance.

Turf Friendly
In all-wheel steer mode, the A300 is gentle on grass and other sensitive surfaces, so there's little or no rework after the main job is finished. All-wheel steering is thus ideal for minimising disturbance to soft surfaces.
Tyre Friendly
Less tyre wear means longer tyre life. In all-wheel steer mode, the A300 is tyre-friendly, even when you're working on asphalt and other hard surfaces.
The Bobcat A300 features vertical lift path, giving superior lift height, reach, dump angle and excellent visibility for easy truck loading. A heated cab, 2 speed ranges, and joystick controls are standard for increased comfort, efficiency and productivity
With Bobcat' compact equipment, you can do more work in less time with fewer people. With the industry's most reliable line of loaders and more attachment options than anyone else offers, Bobcat has the solution for you.
