A proven track record

Bobcat® compact tracked loaders are the result of half a century's leadership in compact equipment and more than 6 years of evolution of the tracked loader concept. They are rugged, manoeuvrable and offer optimal power-to-weight ratio for working in the most demanding environments.

Leadership through invention

Bobcat invented the skid-steer loader and today is the leader of the compact equipment sector. Bobcat is the brand

of choice for owner-operators, fleet operators, contractors and hire companies. The range of Bobcat compact tracked loaders is just one important example of the company's commitment to innovation.

Designed and built to work in the most demanding environments, Bobcat compact tracked loaders use durable proven components. They offer high pushing force and can lift larger loads than wheeled loaders of similar size. Bobcat compact tracked loaders are available in 5 models ranging from 1.4 to 2 m wide with engine power ratings from 34 to 58 kW.

Tested for toughness

Designed to provide a high pushing force and high lift capacity, Bobcat compact tracked loaders are built with longwearing components and incorporate an innovative direct drive system for reduced wear and minimal maintenance. The result is more work days, greater productivity and a better return on investment.

Extending the working season

Because the machine's weight is spread over a large area, the tracked loader's ground pressure is kept lower for higher flotation - resulting in less ground disturbance. This means fewer repairs to existing surfaces and lower on-site costs. And, with more surface area in contact with the ground, the tracked loaders provide more traction than wheeled compact loaders. This facilitates working in soft, sandy, wet or muddy conditions, and lengthens the working season. When other machines stop dead, Bobcat compact tracked loaders keep going!

Continuous evolution to excellence

Bobcat tracked loaders offer more in terms of increased productivity and versatility thanks to a program of constant improvement.

High performance undercarriage

Take a look at the Bobcat compact tracked loaders' undercarriage and you will discover the best in class technology. The undercarriage features an elevated sprocket design that sheds debris and mud as you work, avoiding direct shocks to the sprocket.

All Bobcat tracked loaders have a direct drive system that provides reduced wear and minimal maintenance. This means less time working on your machine so you have more time to go to work.

The solidly mounted undercarriage is best for grading as it stabilizes the loader and work group to produce a more level grade compared to other types of track systems. Pushing power is improved due to consistent traction. Tipping loads are also better with a solid undercarriage, improving performance with heavy loads.

Designed for durability

The permanently sealed and lubricated rollers and idlers require no routine maintenance. More durable than rubber-coated rollers, these rollers are made from Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) and feature a triple-flange that minimizes de-tracking. An additional roller has been added to most models, providing better weight distribution and significantly improving ride characteristics. Single-flange steel idlers guide and support the track around the ends of the undercarriage, while the front idlers also absorb shock loads and help maintain track tension.

Smoother ride

Distributing the weight over a larger area also produces a smoother ride over rough terrain, such as ruts or potholes, without sacrificing ride quality. The Ride Control option features an accumulator in the hydraulic loader lift control to absorb shocks when carrying loads over uneven ground. With lift arms slightly raised, this accumulator acts like a shock absorber, and cushions the ride. This results in a smoother ride, less operator fatigue and less spillage from the bucket or pallet.

C-pattern rubber track

The exclusive c-pattern rubber track has steel cables to provide a strong base, and features imbeds to guide and support the center of the track. A special rubber compound is then moulded around these cables and imbeds to produce a strong continuous rubber track. This not only offers the best combination of traction and flotation, but it also reduces fatigue and cracking, adding to durability and lengthening service life.

Always on track

Even in the most extreme weather and soil conditions - from rain, mud and hard slopes to tender turf and hot conditions - no other piece of equipment can help you to do your job better, faster and smarter.

New cooling system

The Bobcat loader's innovative new cooling system features SmartFAN™, a hydraulically-driven variable-speed cooling fan that is more efficient in many respects. It cools better in extreme operating conditions, is quieter, and requires less engine power. Driven by a hydraulic motor, the fan turns only when it's needed, and is not dependent on engine speed. Bobcat loaders continue to feature dual-path cooling, which draws cool, clean air from above the loader while pulling hot air from the engine and hydrostatic area.

Change attachments while sitting comfortably

The Bob-Tach™ mounting system allows attachments to be changed quickly by the operator while working on-site. And, with the optional Power Bob-Tach™, the operator can change non-hydraulic attachments without even leaving the cab. Activated by a switch in the centre panel, the Power Bob-Tach™ levers can be opened and closed hydraulically, increasing the versatility and productivity of all Bobcat compact tracked loaders.

High flow

Optional high flow hydraulics increase the hydraulic power available from your machine, enhancing attachment capabilities and performance. With this feature, your tracked loader will become your favourite tool for all-year round use in combination with attachments such as the planer, wheel saw, Brushcat® rotary cutter, snow blower, wood chipper, stump grinder and trencher. The "High Flow" function is activated by an electrical control switch conveniently located on the left panel inside the cab.

Putting the operator first

Operators deserve a safe, comfortable and quiet operating space.

Visibility and comfort

Take a seat in a Bobcat tracked loader, and you'll notice the excellent all-round visibility and generous inside-room. Drive it and feel the comfort of the suspension seat. The standard enclosed cab can be fitted with an optional heater or air conditioning unit. Safety comes standard with the Bobcat Interlock Control System (BICS). This system reduces the potential for accidents caused by inadvertent manoeuvres.

Fail-safe system monitoring

This system monitors vital engine and hydraulic system functions (such as coolant temperature, oil pressure and hydraulic oil temperature). If a parameter is out of the normal operating range, both audible and visible warnings are given. If the situation could lead to a critical failure, the machine immediately shuts down.

Deluxe instrumentation

The optional instrumentation enables the operator to closely monitor the machine as well as adding another level of security. The keyless start feature allows the panel to be locked out to prevent unauthorised starting. The panel has multi-language displays, and offers a greater level of monitoring of vital functions.

Selectable Joystick Controls (SJC)

This low-effort control option combines fingertip control with the ability to switch between H-pattern and ISO-pattern controls, thereby providing operators with the choice of their favourite control system. The controls utilize a horsepower management system that automatically adjusts the drive system to maximize pushing and digging power. While the hand engine speed control lever allows for the setting of specific speeds, the accelerator pedal can increase speed on demand for extra operating efficiency.
